Solo vs. Team: Who Actually Closes More?

Solo vs. Team: Who Actually Closes More?

At the very top, the solo star and the mega team are running neck and neck.

Our rankings count 2,550 ranked women agents and 991 ranked woman-led teams. At the summit, the two are almost indistinguishable. The top solo producer, Deborah Kern, closed $720M+ in New York. The top team, the Dawn McKenna Group of Chicago, closed $780M+. Add up the ten highest of each and the totals land within a rounding error of one another, roughly $4.9B a side.

Different paths to the same number

The distinction is in how the volume is built. The top soloists close fewer, larger deals: Deborah Kern reached $720M+ on 75+ transactions. The top teams reach comparable numbers on far higher transaction counts, spreading the work across agents. 205 teams crossed $100M+ last year, against 137 solo women.

Neither model wins outright. The soloist concentrates a luxury book; the team scales a business. Both appear on our rankings, counted in separate tables so the comparison stays honest.
